Garcia, who owns 17 medals in her record for national championships and is part of the Women's Texas Golf Association is an absolute golf prodigy. Garcia began her golf studies in Texas Christain University, where she had a few years studying before switching to University of Texas. The University of Texas exposed her to a more than a competitive environment, which made her abilities stronger as days rolled by. Angela Akin Garcia chose journalism instead of golf, despite enjoying happiness and fulfillment in her playing. So, once her graduation from the university she was offered the job of a Fox Sports Southwest journalist.
